introduction
Radio frequencies (RF) from bugs hidden on or by people, can be detected using an RF detector.
So, if you want to stop people wearing bugs from entering your building, you can mount a detector at a reception desk.
A normal detector displays the signal strength in the nearfield of a transmitter from 10MHz - 2GHz. The signal strength
is calibrated at the input and is displayed in dBm from +5 to -65 dBm.
Housed in a beeper case, the RF detector normally has a vibrator alert that activates anytime a signal passes the
threshold. The threshold can be set from +5 to -65dBm, thus allowing the Micro Detector to alert you of very weak or
very strong signals. The Detector normally features a 2.5mm jack on the side for the optional TMC100 antenna.
Some RF detectors
This Micro Pro Bug Detector is a state-of-the-art multipurpose receiver that combines essential counter surveillance
RF detector functions in one compact unit about the size of a standard pager.
Most all of today's cameras transmit on 900Mhz, 1.2Mhz, or the most common of all, 2.4Ghz. Even much higher priced
equipment has difficulty detecting low power 2.4GHz Microwave video transmitters. Extremely user friendly and comes
complete with easy to understand operating instructions.
The Micro Pro Bug RF Detector quickly locates or "hunts down" hidden phone, room or body bugs, remote control signals,
computer, fax or telex transmitters, video transmitters, pulsed tracking transmitters and even wide band frequency
hopping or "burst" bugs.
RF detector features include: Relative Signal Bar Graph, RF Gain Control, Headphone Input, On/Off Control and earplug. Rugged
Plastic Carry Case. Powered by (2) AAA alkaline batteries (included). Dimensions: 3-1/4 x 2-1/4 x 3/4".(Model MCBD)
- RF detector Spectrum Coverage - 50Mhz to 3Ghz.
